Ella Brimblecombe

As a keen skier and an extremely amateur snowboarder, Ella joined UQ Ski as a new member for Queenstown ’22. After meeting so many amazing people through the events and having the best time in Queenstown, she joined the exec team. After being President in 2024, Ella is back for round two as President in 2025, and ready to send it even harder— on the slopes, at the events, and everywhere in between.

Whether it’s shredding powder (or at least trying not to faceplant on a snowboard), hosting pub crawls, or kicking off unforgettable ski trips, she’s here to make sure this year is bigger and better than ever.

Catch Ella bouncing between the dance floor and the first bus to the slopes—just don’t ask her for snowboarding tips unless you want to end up on the ground too. Say hi when you see her, and get ready for a season of snow and endless shenanigans!

Sean Forrest

Sean joined us on the 2024 Japan ski trip and had such a good time that he decided to join the executive team! As an avid skier, he doesn’t want to waste any time snowboarding, but he’ll try to not judge you if you choose to.

If you somehow manage to catch up to him going down the slope, be sure to ask him for a free drink.

Sam Parr

He is nature’s perpetual motion machine, fueled by adrenaline, and questionable decisions. His charm could melt glaciers, and his social obligations rival the complexity of the Tokyo subway map. He’s the type of guy who measures success in vertical metres conquered and G-forces defied.

With more adrenaline in his veins than most people coffee in their cups, he’s always bouncing off the walls, chasing the next thrill. Gravity? Never heard of her, too busy defying physics on snow, water, or anything with any sense of incline. But hey, life’s a mountain, and Sam’s got the downhill trajectory down pat. Somehow, this gravity-defying daredevil always lands on his feet, leaving a trail of shock and awe in his wake.

Tom Nicolson

Tom joined the team after the 2022 Queenstown trip, becoming VP and Queenstown trip planner in 2023 and has been Head of Sponsorship since 2024.

Tom loves loves skiing in places with good snow and lots of beer, whether that’s our biggest NZ trip ever in 2023, or helping out with planning our first trips to Australia, France and Japan and hopefully many more crazy destinations in the future.

Charlotte Crook

Having skied only with family before and wanting to travel with like-minded mates, Charlotte joined UQ Ski as a new member for Queenstown ’23. After experiencing the welcoming and supportive culture that UQ Ski provides, she joined the exec team in 2024. This year she aims to get better at skiing, maybe go down a black diamond without faceplanting, and continue to make incredible memories with all the friends she hasn’t met yet.

Charlotte is always up for a chat and has plenty of experience if you are looking for someone to rant to, so don’t be shy, come say hi!

RJ Foster

I’m RJ I first joined UQ Ski on the 2023 Queenstown trip I had never seen snow before and tried skiing. I fell in love with the snow and the people that are a part of the society. I continued to fuel my passion for the snow by going on the 2024 Thredbo trip last year, where I switched it up and tried snowboarding for the first time, It’s safe to say no matter what I use to go down the mountain, I’m always going to have fun! Outside of skiing, you can find me on the basketball courts or on campus studying, and I am looking forward to giving back to the society and going on more trips.
